Android phones are widely used in the market nowadays because of their tough competition to iOS devices. These devices are easy to use and many models using the Android OS are available. Recover Deleted Contacts From Android SIM Card
Step 1: Install and Run the Android Recovery Tool
First, download, install and launch the program on your Window or Mac computer. Run the application and you will find a screen like above.
Step 2: Connect Android to Computer and Enable USB Debugging
After that you will be required to connect your Android phone to computer. Make sure you have enabled USB debugging on your Android phone. If not, follow the steps below.
- For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter “Settings” > Click “About Phone” > Tap “Build number” for several times until getting a note “You are under developer mode” > Back to “Settings” > Click “Developer options” > Check “USB debugging”
- For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter “Settings” > Click “Developer options” > Check “USB debugging”
- For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter “Settings” > Click “Applications” > Click “Development” > Check “USB debugging”
Step 3: Begin to Scan your Android for Lost Contacts
After your device has been successfully detected, let the software analyze your Android device and wait for a few seconds. A window similar to what is shown in the picture below will appear. Now, you need to turn to your Android phone and click “Allow” in the pop up on the screen, until it disappears and then go back to the program and start the scan on your Android device for lost contacts. The scan will take some time.
Now a window will appear where in you will have to select the type of file you want to recover. Select “Contacts” there.
Step 4: Preview and restore contacts on Android
After the scanning is done and all contacts and messages have been scanned, you can stop the scan when you see the things you are looking for. You can preview all contacts one by one in the scan result, and select those you want and click on “Recover” to selectively save them to your computer.
Note: The contacts shown in orange in the scan result are the deleted ones and the ones in black are the existing ones.
