Step 1: Stop Updating Any Data in Your Phone 


once you find that your phone is missing data, stop using it immediately. Because if you continue to use your phone, it will start over writing the lost files and then even with the help of any excellent software you will not be able to recover your data. This is the first thing you can start doing without even having to download or install any software. 

Step 2: Connect Your Android Phone to the Computer

Now all you have to do is download and install Android Data Recovery software. Once you install and run it and it will ask you to connect your Android phone to the computer. Use a USB cable to connect your phone to the computer.

Step 3: Enable USB Debugging on Your Android phone


This program will not work without USB debugging you will have to enable it, if it is not already enabled on your phone. You can follow the steps listed below to enable USB debugging.

  • For Android 4.2 or newer: Enter “Settings” > Click “About Phone” > Tap “Build number” for several times until getting a note “You are under developer mode” > Back to “Settings” > Click “Developer options” > Check “USB debugging”
  • For Android 3.0 to 4.1: Enter “Settings” > Click “Developer options” > Check “USB debugging”
  • For Android 2.3 or earlier: Enter “Settings” > Click “Applications” > Click “Development” > Check “USB debugging”

After your device has been identified, you will have to select the fields for which you will want the software to scan. For example, click on”Contacts” and click next to start the scan.


Step 4: Allow Software to Scan Lost Data

The software will ask permission to start scanning the device. Grant it. Also, please make sure that the battery of your Android device is more than twenty percent. 

Step 5: Preview and Retrieve Phone Numbers on Android

When the scanning will finish, you will find all your deleted (orange ones) or undeleted (black ones) contacts listed on the right side of the interface window. Select the ones you want to recover and click on “Recover” to save them to your PC.
